Bespoke orders and commissions

If you would like to order a not mass produced, truly unique, original, quirky handmade knitted gift for you or a loved one, please get in touch. I’d love to design and make you a bespoke knitted commission.

What’s different about my work is that I knit then felt my designs. This means my designs are knitted up from yarn, sewn together then felted, rather than wet felting and sculpting with wool felt. My process creates a beautiful durable fabric where the stitches can often still be seen. Not everything is felted though if you want something purely knitted that’s fine too.

Design range

My speciality is designing and making felted bags as well as a wide range of iPod, phone, Kindle and laptop cases, purses, pencil cases, brooches and key rings.

More recently I’ve started designing toys and whimsy knits, including a knitted cheshire cat and little mushroom ornaments. So if you have something like that in mind I’d be happy to work with you.

How the commission process works

A two-way process

I want as much input from you as you want to give. If you want to be very precise about the details of the design that’s fine or if you just want to give me an initial idea then leave me with the details then that’s fine too. Feel free to browse my gallery to get an idea of what I can do.

Get in touch with your initial ideas and I’ll work with you on getting to grips with what I think could work in terms of materials, size, finishing etc. Then I’ll get back to you with a quote based on the materials and my time, and also how long I think it will take from design to delivery. Usually it will take around 4 weeks from the initial enquiry.
